Connections Program

Connections helps young people aged 13 to 19 years get back in touch with their learning and their future.  The program is focused on young people who have be absent from education for three months or more. Connections offers flexible study and training opportunities in a community setting, and supports young people to bring their goals within reach. This program is funded by The Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) 

The program offers individual case management and a range of education and vocation packages to choose from.

The Connections program at YMCA Logan City Youth Services may be just what you’ve been looking for. The YMCA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that provides eligible program graduates with points toward the Queensland Certificate of Education—Year 12.

Automotive students are tested on their knowledge of engine timing and electrics.

After completing a course students either return to school or are further supported to continue their education with Y-Care until they are old enough to gain employment. Students are supported for up to twelve months through counselling and case work to ensure that they have the best opportunity of reaching their goals.
